Tone (as in dial tone) was my nick name on the street/playground and yep Toney was my first so put it together.I Grew Up In Cali And Never Heard Anything From New York Except The Sugarhill Gang And Later Grandmaster Flash It Was Not Till Later I Heard The Cold Crush Brothers.So I Respect Tony Tone(he started in 1975) Of The Cold Crush Brothers Everyone Else Just Flat Out Copied And Stole My Name.The 3 I did Meet Was Not Even Born Yet So When I Called Them Biters(old school term for copy cat)they said nothing.I Love Hip Hop I Don't Like Trendy Rap Songs(Ice Grills,Candy Paint,Dope Tails,Recycled Gangsta Rap)...I Like Southern Rap But Let's Keep It Real That's What It Is.I Like UGK,Scarface,Skull Duggery,Outkast,Geto Boys And The List Goes On.The Rest Is Watered Down And Recycled Garbage.We Got A Generation Of So-Called Hip Hoper's That Don't Even Know Who Public Enemy Is..."What" 90% Of You So Called Dj's Don't Break Music And Can't Appreciate Other Forms Of Music.Dead Ears= A Dead Audience And All Leads Back To The Wack DJ That Told The Label "If You Cut Me A Check I Will Play It"......Ok Enjoy The Music,Im Glad Your Here And You Decided To Check Out My Podcast....DJ Toney Tone(Est 1979)
